METCAL® PXI Procedures Training
Practical specialist training for programming NI cards, PXI procedures and LIB-FSC technology in MET/CAL®.
Description
Understanding, simplifying, and programming PXI procedures
In the first hours of METCAL® PXI Procedures Training, we take a deep look at the concept of programming NI boards and get to know the background of this technique.
We then simplify an existing PXI procedure to the point where a simple, linear procedure without sub-procedures remains. We explore how to simulate PXI cards and thus simplify the development process. We learn about LIB-FSC programming and how to create and use objects.
- Develop an understanding of the interrelationships of PXI programming
- Targeted programming of PXI procedures
- Write your own PXI procedures more fluently through practice and exercise.
- Simplify and better understand existing PXI procedures in a structured way.
What she expects
Specialist knowledge in a clear, practical format
Understanding the NI API
Technical background, required hardware and software components, and the benefits of the API documentation.
Simulate PXI cards
Create simulated PXI maps and select from MET/CAL® to simplify the development of procedures.
Apply LIB-FSC
Build your own LIB-FSC entries, understand existing entries, and use objects, methods, and properties.
Practical exercises with sample solutions
Numerous practical exercises support the transfer into one's own calibration procedures.
seminar document
125 pages for working and reference
Because reference is always important in everyday laboratory work, all seminar participants receive a 125-page printed seminar manual. This manual is used throughout the seminar.
Technology during training
MET/CAL® workstations and PXI chassis
- Each participant has their own PC MET/CAL® available.
- There will be a PC with a PXI chassis attached.
Course of the seminar
Calm setting, clear times
- Seminar in a large, quiet and modern training room at 1A Cal GmbH in Kassel (Germany)
- Cold drinks, coffee, tea, fruit and pastries during breaks
- Lunch is provided.
- Seminars begin daily at 08:30 a.m.
- End between 16:00 and 16:30 pm
- Separate seminar times can be arranged for arrival or departure on the first and last day.
- Small groups of a maximum of 5-8 participants
- Numerous practical exercises with sample solutions
Laboratory tour with Josephson voltage standard
Insight into state-of-the-art measurement technology
At the end of the first day of the seminar, participants have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the 1A Cal laboratory. Here you can expect a fascinating insight into state-of-the-art measurement technology. Among other things, you will see a Josephson stress standard, which can be used to generate stresses with relative uncertainties of less than one ten-billionth.
seminar topics
The content is fully structured.
The topics of METCAL® PXI procedures training materials are presented as expandable modules. This ensures that all information is retained but appears much clearer.
